Nowadays it is possible to manage any machine using the internet, allowing users to control it remotely, monitor its adequate performance, receive alerts in the case of incidents, compare the performance of various machines, etc. This offers significant and obvious advantages in terms of efficiency, cost savings, productivity, improvement of response times, etc.
Moreover, putting machines that can be continuously monitored on the market opens a world of possibilities. This is due to the use of their operating data (most frequent methods of use, most frequent errors) and to the fact that this data – which is automatically and continuously collected –is incorporated in the design process of new versions of the same equipment or of other products, taking advantage of the experience gained through the functioning of other products. This is known as “feedback to design” and it is one of the main accelerators for the development of products that exceed the quality and profitability of their predecessors.

Working together with our clients’ engineers, we identify the remote management features to be incorporated in each case and, this is where the cost and time saving comes in, we identify which IProx controllers (core technology of Proxima Systems) best fulfil the project’s requirements. We customise the selected basic electronic controller for the specific project: electric connections and communications with the machine, enclosure, internet connection, specific firmware, etc., etc. The machinery’s remote management web application is based in our IProx Cloud platform and is customised for each client, adding features, visual elements and reports, according to the specific requirements. It is important to note that the access of the machine operators to the remote management platform is always performed using the client’s internet domain (for example: remote management.manufacturer’s_brand.com)
All of the above allows us to obtain prototypes, followed by a pre-series product and, after the first series, in record time and at record cost, the remote management technology is integrated into the client’s product, incorporating the experience gained from dozens of previously developed products.
