iTrack is a monitoring tool for irrigation pivots. You can find out all the details on the product page.
1. IDENTIFY THE BOX OF THE LAST TOWER
Safety first: at the panel disconnect the power supply to the pivot. Go to the end of the pivot, identify and open the last tower box. In it you will see a terminal strip where all the machine's hose wires are connected.
2. OPEN THE BOX AND CONNECT THE THREE ITRACK WIRES.
Connect the three iTrack wires brown (=forward/right), white (=neutral) and orange (=reverse/left) to the same wires on the terminal block. To do this, slightly loosen the screws that secure these three wires to the terminal strip and insert the iTrack wires, taking care not to disconnect any of the original wires.
3. ATTACH THE CONTROLLER TO THE PIVOT WITH CABLE TIES
If there is room for it, fix the iTrack transmitter inside the tower box itself. If it does not fit inside, you can fix it to the pivot tube with the flanges supplied with the equipment. The transmitter is IP66 and is ready to be installed outdoors without any problems.
4. ACCESS ITRACKIRRIGATION.COM
Once everything is installed: connect the power, start the pivot and access itrackirrigation.com to finish the installation process by entering some details of your pivot.
5. OPTIONAL: INSTALL THE WATER PRESSURE SENSOR
If you have purchased the option with water pressure sensor: install it in one of the pipe plugs (reducing nuts are included in the kit) or in a T that you insert in one of the downspout inlets. Caution! make sure that the sensor is higher than the pipe so that it is emptied when the pivot is not watering. Otherwise it will suffer irreparable damage when temperatures drop below 0°C.
PROBLEMS?
See the troubleshooting section below.
Troubleshooter
On the pivot verify that:
- Between the white wire terminal and the terminal to which you have connected the brown wire there is 110Vac when the pivot advances forward/right.
- Between the white wire and the orange wire there is 110Vac when the pivot advances reverse/left.
To check the correct operation of the trasmitter:
- Connecting the white and brown wires to 110Vac/230Vac and, after about 5 minutes, on itrackirrigation.com it will indicate the GPS position (only if outdoors) and forward/right.
- Connecting the white and orange wires to 110Vac/230Vac will indicate reverse/left.
