Proxima Systems has developed the IProx controllers, that allow an optimum hybridization of solar energy with a generator to guarantee efficient irrigation through submenrsible pumps.
Agricultural irrigation solar pumping systems are a more economical alternative than installations connected to the grid, since they avoid the payment of the demand charge all year round. Nonetheless, they need to be combined with generators to compensate the loss of power generated by the solar panels on cloudy days.
For this combination to be as efficient as possible, the Iprox controllers execute an advanced control algorithm that continuously monitors the available solar radiation, the water accumulated in the irrigation pool or storage tank (if there is one) and the irrigation programming for the same day and the next day. This means that the generators are only active during the minimum time necessary and respecting the minimum period between each start-up and operation of the generator.
This completely automated solar pumping monitoring and control system guarantees efficient irrigation, reducing the operation hours of your generators to the minimum necessary, resulting in a significant energy saving in your agricultural holding.
As well as monitoring solar irrigation pump system, the IProx controllers, together with the IProx Irrigation application provide you with a range of tools that will help you to achieve more efficient water pumping irrigation using the least possible resources: energy, water, fertilizers and the farmer’s travel and time.

Visual programming of irrigation solar control using the IProx Irrigation application.
